Crossing the Line (2014)

This project is using projection mapping, and Microsoft's Kinect motion sensing input device. My devotion to sustainability inspired me to make water conservation the main focus. It is meant to represent the misconception that most of us live with; thinking that water is infinite. This installation is made to encourage one to stand in front of, and appreciate its beauty; it's tranquility is meant to slow us down. However, if the viewer crosses the red line that's marked on the floor, by getting closer to the projection they will activate an obnoxious alarm. The screen turned red and instructing the viewer to back up. A thinly veiled metaphor for the state of emergency we're facing today, especially here in Southern California.  VIEW ARTICLE
