Buy Now (2012)

Buy Now is a poster campaign on gun control. As I did research on this subject, I found that in the US car accidents cause more fatalities than guns. I became interested in emphasizing the responsibility that comes with using these vehicles due to their potential destructive nature. The fine print is purposely used to mock the way companies tend to downplay the important facts about products they advertise. In the US: 33,000 people die in car accidents each year, and 31,000 people die from gun violence each year.

Bad Ethics (2013)

This booklet was a life cycle analysis I did for an Art Center class called Design for Sustainability. I decided to do it on Foamcore because it's used so much everywhere; and what I found out wasn't pretty. The environmental impacts of Polystyrene production in the categories of energy consumption, greenhouse gas effect, and total environmental effect ranks second highest, behind aluminum.

The Beginning of the End (2014)

This is a Film Festival at LACMA celebrating Werner Herzog's earlier films. He has been able to demonstrate a part of history we tend to ignore, yet a part which is the most important in what humans are today. One can get familiar with the Western ideology, and people's relationship with nature; to trace the route that's led us to the objectification of nature that continues to this day.

Crossing the Line (2014)

I designed an installation and postcard on the topic of water conservation. As we were going through the worst drought in history here in Southern California, we saw a lot of people wasting water every day. This postcard is meant to get residents to help spread awareness of water usage. VIEW MORE

Hammer Museum. I Will Follow Him  (2013)

This is a rebranding of the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. The logo has a pictorial reference to a Nail. In this project, I also created an exhibit called "I Will Follow Him", showcasing one of my favorite artists of all time, Andy Warhol. An installation was also created to be seen at the start of the exhibit.

Visual Imagination  (2012)

This is a booklet about non-verbal intelligence, also known as visual imagination. It briefly explains how the brain works, and briefly touches on the physics, biology, and psychology behind this amazing experience. In addition, this project inspired me to create an installation based on sense deprivation, in this case, the sight. VIEW MORE

Art/Science Workshop  (2013)

The Art/Science Workshop is a hypothetical design concept of a place created to encourage creative thinking, and to inspire curiosity. One important commonality between Art and Science is the search for the unknown. Science is a tool to discover and to understand the world around us; so is Art. The mission of this workshop is to encourage Scientists and Artists to come together to communicate and ignite this important part of human endeavor, the feeling of discovery. This is a place for everyone to participate in. The Scientist provides the data, and the Artist reinterprets it by pushing the limits of our imagination, and that's something we all can relate to.
